PULSE™ IS CHANGING
Sanity, Virgin and HMV will cease to be involved in the Pulse™ loyalty program but you can
still shop and enjoy the benefits of Pulse™ with the other major Pulse™ retailers such as
Bras N Things, dusk and SX.
Below are the answers to some of the questions you may have:
I’m a Sanity/Virgin/HMV/IN2 Pulse™ member, what happens to my points?
If you shop and use your Pulse™ card at any Sanity, Virgin or HMV store between 1 September and
30 November 2009, any points you have will be zero’d and you will receive a $5 gift voucher. Your
gift voucher can be redeemed at any Pulse™ brand until 31 December 2009.
Once your card points have been zero’d you will be unable to use your Sanity, Virgin, HMV or IN2
card in ANY Pulse™ brand however, if you swap your card at a Bras N Things, dusk or SX store, you
can continue shopping and earning points, prizes and entering competitions as usual.
I’m a Sanity/Virgin/HMV/IN2 Pulse™ member, where else can I shop?
You can continue shopping at any Bras N Things, dusk or SX stores and enjoy all the benefits of
Pulse™.
I’m a Sanity/Virgin/HMV/IN2 Pulse™ member, can I transfer my account/points to another Pulse™ card?
No, a cardholder may not transfer or combine Pulse™ points.
I’m a Sanity/Virgin/HMV/IN2 Pulse™ member, I only shop in Sanity/Virgin/HMV, how do I close my
account?
If you shop and use your Pulse™ card at a Sanity, Virgin or HMV store between 1 September and
30 November 2009, any points you may have will be zero’d and you will receive a $5 gift voucher.
Your gift voucher can be redeemed at any Pulse™ brand until 31 December 2009.
Once your card points have been zero’d you will be unable to use your Sanity, Virgin or HMV card – your card and account will be suspended.
I have a Bras N Things, dusk, SX, EzyDVD, Ghetto, Insane or Diva Pulse™ card - can I still earn points
in Sanity/Virgin/HMV?
Yes, you can continue to shop, earn points, win prizes and enter competitions at any Sanity, Virgin,
HMV, Bras N Things, dusk and SX store up until 30 November 2009, after this time you will only be
able to use your Pulse™ card at Bras N Things, dusk and SX.
I’m a Sanity/Virgin/HMV/IN2 Pulse™ member, what if I don’t want to swap my card to another
brand?
If you want to remain a Pulse™ member and wish to keep your Sanity, Virgin, HMV or IN2 card to
use in Bras N Things, dusk or SX, do not use your card in Sanity, Virgin or HMV after 1 September or
your points will be zero’d and your account deactivated.
Can I still enter the Pulse™ competitions?
Yes, every time you shop and use your Pulse™ card you are eligible to enter the current promotion
as long as your card has not been deactivated. Please see your voucher for your unique entry
code.
Can I still use my Sanity/Virgin/HMV/IN2 Pulse™ card at Bras N Things, dusk or SX?
Yes, you can continue to shop, earn points and enter competitions when you shop at any
Bras N Things, dusk and SX store, as long as you have not shopped at Sanity, Virgin or HMV from
1 September and had your card deactivated.
I’m a Sanity/Virgin/HMV/IN2 Pulse™ member and I’ve changed address or mobile? Where or how
do I update my details?

What happens if I lose my $5 reward voucher?
Instant Prize Vouchers and $5 Reward Vouchers are your claim to the Instant Prize or $5 Reward
printed on them. You need an Instant Prize Voucher to exchange for your Instant Prize or a $5
Reward Voucher to exchange for your $5 reward. Your Pulse™ card is not the vehicle to claim
your instant prize or reward. The instant prize vouchers and reward vouchers are your instant prize
or reward currency. Unfortunately, like cash, if you lose them they cannot be replaced.
Can I get a refund of the $5 application fee I paid when I joined Pulse™?
If you have used your card at least once and it is imprinted with your own unique card number on
the face of the card, your $5 enrolment fee is not refundable.
Is it worth swapping my Sanity/Virgin/HMV/IN2 Pulse™ card for a Bras N Things, dusk or SX card?
Absolutely! You can continue to shop, earn points and enter competitions when you shop at
any Bras N Things, dusk and SX store, as well as receiving unique offers and promotions from your
selected brand. And if new retail brands join the Pulse™ program then you will automatically be
able to participate at no extra charge.
HOW
DO I ENROL?
You enrol in the Pulse™ Program by completing the
enrolment form and conducting a qualifying purchase of
$20 or more, using approved payment means, in any of the
Pulse participating stores. As of the 15th of July, a $5
enrolment fee will be charged to join the Pulse program.
The enrolment form is contained in the Pulse™
application form. Pulse™ application forms are available
from all participating stores.
When you have completed the application form, hand it to
the staff at any of the participating stores for
processing.
When you have completed your qualifying purchase of $20
or more, filled out the application form and paid the $5
enrolment fee, you will receive your Pulse™ Card which
you can start using immediately.
Note: Only individuals can be Pulse members and can only
hold one Pulse™ card at a time. This means no companies
can join and no more than one Pulse™ card per person.
WHAT DO I GET IN RETURN FOR THE $5 FEE?
Upon enrolling in the Pulse™ Rewards Program and paying
the $5 enrolment fee, you will receive six coupons with
offers/savings valued at a minimum of $30. You will also
earn 1 Pulse™ point for every $1 you spend at any
participating Pulse™ retailer. Every time you reach 100
Pulse™ points, you will automatically receive a $5
Reward Voucher to use at any participating Pulse™
retailer. You will also be automatically entered into
the draw for major Pulse™ prizes every time you use your
card. There are also thousands of instant prizes that
can be won in-store with every Pulse™ purchase.

WHAT ARE INSTANT PRIZES AND
REWARDS
The Program has two distinct parts:
- Instant Prizes: As the name
suggests, when you use your Pulse™ Card with
qualifying purchases of $5 or more, you have a
chance to win an instant prize. Details of the
current prizes to be awarded are available from
participating stores.
- Rewards: Once you have earned 100
Pulse™ points ($1 = 1 Pulse point) you will receive
a $5 reward voucher which will entitle you to a $5
discount off your next transaction of $20 or more at
any of the Pulse participating retailers.
Note: Your must present your Pulse™
Card at the time of making your purchase to be able to
accrue Pulse™ Points and have a chance to win an
instant, major prize or $5 reward voucher. $5
vouchers/instant prize vouchers are to be treated like
cash. Once lost – it can not be replaced.
WHERE CAN I REDEEM MY PULSE™POINTS?
You can use your Pulse card, redeem Pulse points and
vouchers at any Sanity, Virgin Entertainment, Virgin
Myer, Bras N Things (BNT), dusk, HMV or IN2 Music store
nationwide.
HOW MANY PULSE™ POINTS DO I GET PER PURCHASE?
For every $1 (one) dollar you spend, you will earn 1
(one) Pulse™ point. You must spend a minimum of $5 (five
dollars) to be able to use your Pulse™ Card. For example
if you spend $20 (twenty dollars) you will receive 20
Pulse™ points.
Points allocation will be rounded as follows: 0-49 cents
will round down to the nearest dollar, 50 – 99 cents
will be rounded up to the nearest dollar.
HOW MANY PULSE™ POINTS DO I NEED FOR A REWARD?
For every 100 Pulse points earned at any of the
Pulse participating stores, you will receive your $5
reward voucher, which can be redeemed on your next
purchase of $20 or more at any of the participating
retailers. You may redeem one (1) $5 Reward Voucher per
$20 transaction. For example: 1x$5 Reward Voucher=$20
minimum spend, 2x$5 Reward Voucher=$40 minimum spend,
3x$5 Reward Voucher=$60 minimum spend. Purchases, or the
portion of a purchase made with the Reward Voucher does
not earn Pulse™ Points.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I LOSE MY INSTANT PRIZE VOUCHER OR
REWARD VOUCHER?

LOST AND STOLEN OR DAMAGED PULSE™ CARD, HOW CAN I GET
A NEW ONE?
If you lose your Pulse™ Card, you may apply for a
replacement card via the Pulse™ Customer Centre (1800
092 976). Provided correct identification can be made,
your points will be included on the replacement card (as
shown on our records).
WHAT ARE QUALIFYING PURCHASES?
The following purchases are not qualifying purchases
and the purchase of such will not entitle you to receive
Pulse™ Points: Brazin Gift Vouchers (being redeemed),
Reward Vouchers and Instant Prize Vouchers. Getting
“cash out” is also not an eligible purchase for accruing
points on your Pulse™ Card.
WHAT METHODS OF PAYMENT ALLOW ME TO USE MY
PULSE™CARD?
When you use cash, credit cards, cheques, Gift
Vouchers (being purchased) or where accepted EFTPOS
payments to pay for your purchase you are able to use
your Pulse™ card to accrue Pulse™ points.
I AM AN ONLINE CUSTOMER. CAN I PARTICIPATE?
Not yet. Brazin’s Online businesses will soon have a
Pulse™ program that you can join and receive similar

I HAVE CHANGED ADDRESS, WHO DO I NOTIFY?
It is important that your contact details are right
up-to-date, so we can notify you if you win a major
prize or received an invite to a VIP night. When your
